The Map Foundry is a cartographic design house that creates maps for print, online, wayfinding & signage.

Good map design involves knowledgeable use and application of scale, proportion, abstraction, function and form. Akin to all other fields of visual design, the role of cartography is to successfully communicate a message to the user. Complex information is collated, abstracted and then visualised in a manner that simplifies the environment in question.
